Simpson Strong-Tie META40 Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines.
- Embed 4 inches into a 6-inch minimum concrete beam or 8-inch nominal grouted block wall.
- For mislocated truss anchors, provide a shim designed by a Truss Engineer if the gap is between 1/8 inch and 1 1/2 inches.
- Install anchors with spoons facing outward and straps spaced no more than 1/8 inch wider than the rafter/truss width in double anchor installations.
- Ensure lateral loads are limited to 54 mil (16ga.) CFS members.
