Simpson Strong-Tie HETA12 Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines.
- Embed 4 inches into a 6-inch minimum concrete beam or 8-inch nominal grouted block wall.
- For mislocated truss anchors, provide a shim if the gap is between 1/8 inch and 1 1/2 inches.
- Ensure minimum spacing of single anchors is twice the embedment depth for full load.
- In double anchor installations, install anchors with spoons facing outward and straps spaced no more than 1/8 inch wider than the rafter/truss width.
