Simpson Strong-Tie ETB160A-SCRB Installation Overview
- Rout a 3/8″ (10mm) deep pocket into the side of the supporting beam for the lower plate.
- Install lower plate with 16d hot-dip galvanized nails (not included in kit).
- Attach horseshoe plate onto the end of the supported beam using SCRB screws supplied in the kit.
- Ensure screws are installed at a downward angle (approx. 45°).
